Frequently Asked Questions
-
Q1:
Can I change the size of the Secure partition?
-
A1:
Yes. It is recommended that you backup all the data from the
Secure Partitions before changing the partition size.
Additionally, you can recover even deleted content from the
Secure Drive by running DataRecall software on the Secure
partitions.
-
-
Q2:
What happens if I want to read my Secure Drive on another
PC?
-
A2:
There is no need to install any software on the new PC
unless it is running Windows 98 or Windows 2000. The
software for password authentication is provided built into
the drivers. For Windows 98 and Windows 2000 the driver
software needs to be installed before accessing CD + Secure
Flash drive.
-
-
Q3:
Can I use other CD/DVD burning software to modify the
content in the Read Only CD Partition?
-
A3:
No. Other types of CD/DVD burning software are not
compatible with the CD + Secure Flash Drive. The Contents in
the Read Only CD Partition cannot be modified with other
types of software. The CD + Secure Flash Drive Software is
required to modify the content.
-
-
Q4:
Can I configure Read Only CD Partition to 0MB?
-
A4:
No, during the partition creation the CD + Secure Flash
Drive Installer will be copied into the CD partition along
with the files selected for copying into CD. So the
partition size must be large enough to accommodate the
Installer.
-
-
Q5:
Is there any need to install driver for this CD + Secure
Flash Drive?
-
A5:
Drivers are required in Windows 98 and Windows 2000. For
Windows 2000, right mouse click on the CD-ROM icon, click on
Open and double click on Setup folder inside and double
click on Setup.exe. This will install the device driver for
the extra partitions. If you are running Windows 98, you
must download this from the vendor’s web site.
-
-
Q6:
Can I change Read Only CD Partition size during the
partition creation?
-
A6:
The partition size for CD is automatically fixed by CD +
Secure Flash Drive Software depending on the total file size
selected for copying into the CD including the
Installer. This is to avoid unnecessary free space in CD
partition, which is going to be created as read only.
