OnSpec’s pre-loaded Password Protection S/W lets you
password-protect your data and provides a Secure Log on to the
“Private Folder” using a SHA-1 Algorithm based authentication.
SHA-256 based authentication also is available.
OEMs can deploy this software in a variety of configurations
and create several password protected folders.

CD partition with Setup Software
In the process of authentication, if the user enters an
invalid password, a hint option is triggered. This
option will show up on the Properties of the CD Drive
icon and the user can then recall his password from
reading the hint.
